Dog Days of Summer

So today I had an interesting conversation about a....um..."unique" dish in Korea. Its no secret that the Korean's eat dog. Well, today I was informed that dog is a "summer" dish enjoyed this time of year. Then I was informed that this is where the phrase "Dog Days of Summer" came from. Now I don't know if there is any truth to this. I do know one thing however.....you will not find me eating dog any time of the year! Ugh!
