Happy Chuseok

This weekend the Koreans are celebrating their Chuseok holiday. This is similar to our American Thanksgiving. Today Molly wore her traditional Korean Hanbok to school in celebration of the holiday. She was so excited and proud to wear it and looked cute too! Here are some pics of our little Korean princess:

An update!

Because I know I've been lacking on the posts. Here are two pics from another birthday for Molly's friend from school. The whole family was invited to this party. It was the swankiest 3 yr old party I've ever been too. The house was amazing!! The food spectacular!! But most important, the kids all had a blast.

I promise you, they do have separate beds. They choose to use only one of them.

Are You Serious??

The party is over, and the things have calmed down around our house. Morgan was invited over to the neighbor's house for a sleepover. So as Molly was munching on leftover pizza for dinner, she looked around and asked...."Where Sissy's Birthday?" I explained that it's over. With all seriousness on her face Molly "gasped" and asked "Are you serious??"

Watch Out Hannah Montana.....

Here's Morgan!!!

We had so much fun celebrating Morgan's 6th Birthday today...Hannah Montana style! She had 6 girlfriends over for a Rockin' party!!! It was a blast!

Here is a link to some of the pictures from today's festivities:

And another:

Cupcakes with Morgan

ON Friday, I brought cupcakes to school for Morgan to share with her friends. They were all happy to celebrate with her and share her snack. After they had their cupcakes it was almost time to go home. Not before having a couple of silly dances together. I get the feeling silly dancing is a regular part of their school day. They were singing the songs out loud and follow along with the suggested movements. A fun way to help Morgan celebrate her almost 6th Birthday.

House Drama Continues

So...we've dealt with the neighbors 3 month long remodel of their BASEMENT! We deal with their cars and drivers every day. We deal with their stubborn, obnoxious, vicious dogs. Well today at the bus stop, the little girl told Morgan that they are getting a new Golden Retriever puppy tomorrow. The Mom confirmed it. Apparently one of their original offending GR's died. So now they are getting a puppy. I don't know if the second original GR will return, or just the puppy. We will see tomorrow.

On top of that, we have been listening to the sound of a jack hammer all morning long. The empty lot sort of under ours (on the slope) was just purchased and now construction will begin on a new house. Oh the joy of having to listen to construction all day long for the next however many months/years. Not to mention the dust. I sure hope Molls is able to get a good nap in today. Im not sure how though with all this noise. Ear plugs, maybe?!?!

So cute!

Tonight at dinner, Morgan was commenting that her birthday is the day after tomorrow. Molly's little hand shot up and she said "I'm going to Sissy's birthday party! With my Mommy!" It was just so sweet the way she said it.

A big difference from this morning when she discovered Morgan in her bed. "Sissy's in my bunk bed!" Announced with almost real tears. Morgan had crawled in bed with her at some point last night. She knows she is not supposed to come to Mom & Dad's room unless it is an emergency. Mark threatened her earlier this week to take her Birthday Party away if she came in our room. So she says to Molly at breakfast "Its not for a long time. Daddy said he'll take my party away. I couldn't sleep and just needed someone to snuggle with."

I am so blown away that at whatever time in the middle of night she was able to rationalize not going to Mom and Dad's room. She thought that snuggling in her sisters bed was the next best thing.

Molly's Igloo

Molly made a marshmallow igloo today at school. They were focusing on the letter "I" today and this was part of the lesson. She was so proud of the igloo and can't wait to show her Sis and Daddy when they get home today.

Mark's Singapore Layovers

During Mark's recent trip to Australia, he had 2 long layovers in Singapore. Since our good friends are from there, they were able to give Mark some tips on what to see during that time.

On the way down, Mark took a city tour to see most of the sights. Here are a few pics:

Singapore Flyer

Chinatown

Mosque

The Raffles Hotel
Had a Singapore Sling in the Long Bar.
Apparently where it was originally concocted.

Dragon Dancing
