Hand Me Down

Here are a couple of pictures of Molly looking cute before church on Sunday. This is a dress that Nancy (aka Nana) made for Morgan when she was about this age.

Morgan's School Now Closed

Apparently several more cases of H1N1 have been reported throughout the school. So now her entire school is closed until next Wednesday. They are encouraging kids to remain home and not to "congregate". Easier said than done. We're doing are part to make sure we stay healthy. I'm hoping Morgan's latest round of antibiotics will be a good defense. Not to mention vitamins, extra vitamin C and of course hand washing.

Well, Molly Was Supposed to Start Pre-School Today

But thanks to 2 reported cases of H1N1 at Seoul Foreign School, she won't go until next week. Last night my friend Terri told me that her boys had to stay home from school all week because a child on their bus has a confirmed case of Swine Flu. A little later I received a call from Molly's teacher saying that her daughter rides that same bus and will be home from school all week also. So for precautionary measures she won't start the school until next week.

SFS's response to the 2 confirmed cases has been to close the British school for the week. (Both students attend the British School at SFS.) They have also stated that the students that ride the school buses of the 2 affected students need to stay home for the week too. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. Even though those 2 students attend the British school, they still use the main campus facilities such as the lunch room and gym.

In the meantime, Molly and I have one more week together before she heads off to school.

Weekend Fun!

Morgan's First Day of Senior Kindergarten

Morgan is feeling better and finally made it to her first day of school. She was thrilled to go and was very happy to see her friends. Here are some pics from the big day:

Morgan Update

Morgan stayed home again today. She still had a slight fever and sore throat this morning. However, she's been feeling much better throughout the day though and should be off to school tomorrow. Finally! We are all looking forward to her first day of school.

Morgan's Not So First Day of School

Today is the first day of school, but Morgan is staying home. She woke up with a 101 degree fever and a sore throat. So instead of her new school uniform, shoes and backpack, she'll be staying in bed in her pj's until we can get a doctor's apt.

Something Fanny...or Funny!

Molly and I had a little talk and decided that now is the perfect time to start wearing her real panties. She had them on in the morning and did great. By late morning she had an accident. Since we were getting ready to go out, I told her to get a diaper. Off she went. And then we were headed out the door

Molly and I took a tour of the English Montessori school in our area. She was really happy and comfortable there. In fact, she wanted to join the class that day. We gathered our information from the school and headed for home.

We arrive home and as Molly is climbing out of the car, I got a full view of her bare bottom!!!!! It was all I could do not to burst into laughter.

Note to self.....next time check for the nappy before leaving the house!

Yes...we are here!!

We did make it home safe and sound and I haven't forgotten to post an update. We've just been jet lagged, and very busy. We arrived home on Saturday evening in one piece with all luggage and children accounted for. The flight was as expected. Spilt juice and snacks, some whining and fidgeting, and changes of clothes for all. We were just thankful that the girls slept as much as they did.

Morgan and Molly were excited to be welcomed home by Tessie and Sadie. Lots of hugs for everyone!!! Without any hesitation we jumped right in on the unpacking. Knowing we would have a busy day ahead of us. Molly slept through the night like a true champ. Morgan was awake at 11:30, which meant the same for me as well. Naps for everyone on Sunday!!!

On Sunday morning, Mark headed back out to the airport to pick up our friends from Shanghai. A little crazy yes, but totally worth it. Sunday was spent reminiscing and enjoy our company. They'll be with us until Wednesday and then we'll begin settling back into a normal "school routine".

Morgan starts school on Tuesday and we are all anxious for that. We'll also be enrolling Molly in a local English Montessori school sometime this month.

We'll be posting pics soon. The girls have new bunk beds which they adore!!!! Morgan has a loose tooth and Molly is enjoying being back home with her "things".

Faust Family & Friends in Frankenmuth

We recently had a mini Faust Family Reunion in Frankenmuth, MI. Karl, Katie & Amelia were in from Omaha, NE and Mark's parents Chuck & Nancy were in from South Carolina. We had about 4 fun filled days together. It was great to have the cousins together again. Morgan was so excited to see Amelia and was pretty much attached at her hip the entire time. She even had a sleepover in Amelia's room one night. The 2 girls also had a sleepover in Nana & Grandpa's room on another night. Our family friend's, the Lichtenwalner's arrived on Friday evening to join in the fun. Here are some pics from our trip.
