Daddy Daughter What??

Yesterday, I attended a meeting to help coordinate the Daddy Daughter Dance at school.  Silly me to think that this would be a small little function held in the school gym.  I can remember going to the Daddy Daughter Square Dance in the school gym when I was little.  But noooooo!!!!!  This is a dance held in the same ballroom where Mark and I were for the St. Andrew's Ball complete with a "Hollywood" theme.  I was speechless.  The dance is for the elementary school girls only.  They won't know the difference.  

I did raise my concerns about this to the others at the meeting.  Apparently there is a large turnout for the dance and the school can't support such a big event.  They don't have enough volunteers and by the time you pay someone to come into the school to make it work, the cost is about even.  OK!  Makes a little sense to me.  

So now I'm on the decorating committee as well as shopping committee.  I get to pick out and purchase decorations as well as stuff for the "goodie bags".  The dance is in March, so look for the pics then.
