Mark and I attended our first (and only) Scottish dancing lessons tonight, in preparation for the St. Andrew's Society of Seoul 2008 Ball this Saturday night. All I can say is that we need help, along with comfortable shoes and a sports bra for me. It is very much like square dancing with names like Duke of Earl, Reel of Seoul, and
Paddington all set to traditional Scottish music. There are 25 different dances which are bound to have our heads spinning this weekend.
We did have a fun time laughing with the other baffled couples and even danced with the British Ambassador to Korea and his wife. Saturday should prove to be a fun time. It will be a long night though. Breakfast is served promptly at 3:30 a.m. Yes, I said breakfast. But after filling our dance cards (which they will provide) with 2o or so dances, we are bound to be ready to eat.
Look for pics late this weekend.
