Hanbok Day

This week Morgan's school celebrated Korean Week.  There was a different activity each day to help the kids learn more about their host country.  They've sampled foods, seen Tai-kwon do and other performances and today was Hanbok Day.  Hanbok is traditional Korean outfits worn now for weddings and during national holidays.  As you can see from the pictures below these outfits are quite colorful.  The kids and faculty all dressed in Hanboks or Tai-kwon do outfits today and then took part in some traditional Korean activities.  Enjoy the pics!

Banging the Gong!

Morgan's Class!  Her current teacher (permanent sub) is on the left in the yellow.  The Assistant Teacher is crouched down on the left.  Her actual teacher (who will start at the end of the month) is on the right.

Here is our little Hanbok Princess!
Notice anything unique in this pic?  It's Morgan!  Blond hair really stands out in a crowd like this.

Here is the whole elementary school in their Hanboks in the courtyard of Seoul Foreign School.
