Proud Mama

I had a day filled with Proud Mama Moments yesterday. Morgan's parent-teacher conference was in the afternoon. What I didn't realize was that Molly was going to have one too! I picked her up from school and the teacher asked if I had received the note about conferences, which I did not. Being that I will be out of town on Friday when they were scheduled, we had a little conference right there.

The more Ms. Lee talked about Molly the brighter my face and wider my smile got. Remember that Molly is the youngest in the class at 2 1/2. Most of the kids are already 3. She received a positive check mark for every category on the list. The only area that needs "improvement" is going potty. Which we are working on and have seen improvement. And then Ms. Lee said that Molly is so well mannered and polite. I couldn't not have been any happier at that moment. I am so proud of our little school girl!!!

In the afternoon, I met with Morgan's teacher hoping for 2 for 2 on positive reports. She did not disappoint. The teacher told me that Morgan is thoughtful, a leader of the class in a positive way, very intuitive, and an all around great girl. The focus of class has been reading and writing. We do have some areas of reading that need improvement and we will work on those together. But that was it!! I am so proud of Morgan. There has been a real change in academics from last year to this, and she is handling them very well.

I'm still smiling!!!!
