but you can't take Asia out of the girls.
We've been in the US for 1 week now. Morgan, Molly and I have all been out of sorts getting over an illness, tackling jet lag, being out of our routine. Morgan and Molly have been picky about food and haven't actually eaten a whole lot of anything since we arrived. Tonight, we hit the jackpot at the local Chinese restaurant.
Even Morgan wasn't happy about being there at first, but everyone was happy once the food was served. I placed a few lo mein noodles on each of the girls' plates. After one bite I asked if they'd like more. Molly replied, "Yes! Lots more!", and proceeded to help Grandpa Chuck eat his fried rice and Sweet & Sour Pork.
It took one whole week for us to finally find something they would eat and enjoy. It was a good dinner out for sure.

Packaging Manager of the Faust House Hold
Kristen is amazing, she will be in the USA for 7 weeks with 2 kids and did the flight with only 3 bags. Plus she was under wait on 2 of them. She was allowed 20 Kg per bag and she was at 20 for her bag and 12 for Morgan and 9 for Molly. I must admit that I did not think she could get it in the bags but she did it and I am really impresses. I miss her already and can not wait till I see her in 5.5 weeks.

Just to keep things interesting....
Morgan came down with a severe sore throat today accompanied by a fever. She was fine first thing this morning. Just as we were getting ready to go to a much anticipated play date, she got sick. Her fever spikes, she complained of sore throat and was just not herself. I immediately cancelled the play date and called the doctor's office. They couldn't get her in until 2 pm. I gave her some ibuprofen and she tried to get some rest. Around noon her fever spiked to 102. I gave her some Tylenol and that didn't help. We all loaded up and went to the doctor's.
She has an acute throat infection. We are now armed with medicine and a doctor's note. She is already feeling much better after her first dose of medicine and a little ice cream (at the doctors recommendation.) Assuming she is doing even better in the morning, we will board the plane as planned. Wish us luck!!!!

So Proud!!
I'm beaming!!! Can you see it??? I just reviewed Morgan's second term report card, and I am more than proud of our little. I know she was just in Junior Kindergarten, but the words written by her teacher and all of the specialist teachers have sent me over the moon.
Morgan's teacher, Mrs. Benger, wrote a full page report about her, her skill levels, and how how she participates in class. Each of the specialist teachers wrote a few sentences about Morgan and how she did in their class. The one that really got me was written by the Korean teacher. She wrote:
"I thoroughly enjoyed teaching Morgan this year. This delightful young lady was a model student in every way. Always calm and attentive, she was a good influence to the other students. She also took part in all class activities joyfully. I'm very proud of her. Outstanding, Morgan!"
Still smiling here!!!!
Last Day of School
Last day of school for Morgan!!!! We couldn't be any prouder of our little girl. She had a great year and learned so much. I have been very impressed with the classwork and journals she's been bringing home this week. All things she has been working on over the year. Next year she's off to Senior Kindergarten and we know she is going to be GREAT!!! Here are some pics from today:

Daddy's Girl
Morgan's Year End Party
This is the last week of school for Morgan and on Monday she had her Year End Party!!!! It was a really fun day. We started with a pizza lunch then headed outside for some relay games. After a short break we had free time in the gym and ended with Popsicles. The kids all had a great time. They enjoyed their lunch and treats that the parents brought in. It was so fun to watch the kids during their relay games. They were cheering each other on and had a blast! It's hard to believe the year is over. Our little girl is moving on to Senior Kindergarten in the Fall.

The President
Seoul is the capital of South Korea and therefore there are tons of government related places we see on a daily basis, on top of the ancient palaces and structures. I drive by the South Korean President's "Blue House" (their answer to our White House) pretty regularly and Morgan thinks its cool knowing where he lives. Well yesterday we were in the "Blue House" area and we saw the President's motorcade go by. How neat?? It was the first time ever seeing it. Of course we didn't know exactly which car he was in, but cool anyway. Now Morgan knows where the President lives and has seen his car too!

A Few Things I Learned Today
*Always be prepared! Common sense really, I know. But just as I began to get comfortable with Molly in her potty training phase, I was caught unprepared. I haven't changed a "messy" diaper in weeks...until today. And go figure, today was the day we left the house without any wipes. Yikes!!
*There are child safety locks on car doors for a reason, and today we discovered why. Sure enough I was driving and noticed a red light on my dashboard. The "door adjar" light. I look back and Molly's door is WIDE open. People were honking at me and swerving around me. Of course no one would let me over so I pull to the side and get it closed. I finally made it over and NOW the child safety locks are switched ON!
