Feeling better!!

Morgan is feeling better this morning and starting to feel like her normal self again.  She is staying home from school today just to be safe and so she can get some extra rest.  It seems like this bug has been squashed.

"S" is for.....

Snow or Stomach bug??  How about both?!?!?

Today we had our first snow fall.  Granted it was a very light snow with small flakes that didn't last, but it was still our first in Seoul.  The kids at the bus stop were tickled with this and were imagining making snow men in the afternoon.

But not 2 hours after I said goodbye to Morgan when she boarded the bus, the school nurse called and said Morgan wasn't feeling well.  I picked her up and brought her home just in time for her to get sick all over the floor.  This carried on for most of the afternoon.  Thank heaven the word around town is that it is a 24 hour stomach bug.  So I'm hoping our little girl is better by Saturday for her last soccer practice

Oh NO!! We're in trouble!!!

Mark and I attended our first (and only) Scottish dancing lessons tonight, in preparation for the St. Andrew's Society of Seoul 2008 Ball this Saturday night.  All I can say is that we need help, along with comfortable shoes and a sports bra for me.  It is very much like square dancing with names like Duke of Earl, Reel of Seoul, and Paddington all set to traditional Scottish music.  There are 25 different dances which are bound to have our heads spinning this weekend.

We did have a fun time laughing with the other baffled couples and even danced with the British Ambassador to Korea and his wife.  Saturday should prove to be a fun time.  It will be a long night though.  Breakfast is served promptly at 3:30 a.m.   Yes, I said breakfast.  But after filling our dance cards (which they will provide) with 2o or so dances, we are bound to be ready to eat.

Look for pics late this weekend.

Heelloooooo??!?!?

Molly is quite the chatter box and really LOVES talking on the phone.  This morning was no exception.  She was so excited to call her Grammy and Poppy in MI.  She gets the phone in her hand and wont give it up.  (Honestly, I think they love it just as much)

Chocolate Toast!!!!

Need I say more???

Dressing Up

The girls broke into the dress up box today and had fun modeling their outfits for the camera.

Seoul Sightseeing

On Friday Chuck, Nancy and I headed out to see some of the sights around town.  The city is fully of history and there is plenty to do and see.  There are several palaces here so that's where we started.  Deoksugong is small but they reenact a changing of the guard ceremony each day which is worth the trip.

Nancy dressed in traditional Korean Hanbok with the guard.

This stone building is now an art museum.

After seeing the palace and stopping for lunch, we headed to Insadong.  Nancy and I were in a shop while Chuck waited outside.  We came outside to him surrounded by this group of young Korean girls.  It turns out they were practicing their English for school.  They had a sheet of questions they asked Chuck and then asked for a picture.  We couldn't resist this photo op.
