We may not be as warm here in MI as we were in SC, but the girls are making the most of the summer sun. Here are some pics of Morgan & Molls running through the sprinkler.

Happy 4th of July!!

We had an All-American holiday today. We started with breakfast at Big Boy, then watched the Wyandotte parade. The girls had fun and enjoyed seeing the bands, and floats! We had BBQ ribs for dinner and they were a big hit too. We weren't able to stay up late enough for fireworks, but we enjoyed the day non the less.

After the park, the girls and I returned home to frost a cake.

You can take the girls out of Asia....

but you can't take Asia out of the girls.

We've been in the US for 1 week now. Morgan, Molly and I have all been out of sorts getting over an illness, tackling jet lag, being out of our routine. Morgan and Molly have been picky about food and haven't actually eaten a whole lot of anything since we arrived. Tonight, we hit the jackpot at the local Chinese restaurant.

Even Morgan wasn't happy about being there at first, but everyone was happy once the food was served. I placed a few lo mein noodles on each of the girls' plates. After one bite I asked if they'd like more. Molly replied, "Yes! Lots more!", and proceeded to help Grandpa Chuck eat his fried rice and Sweet & Sour Pork.

It took one whole week for us to finally find something they would eat and enjoy. It was a good dinner out for sure.

Packaging Manager of the Faust House Hold

Kristen is amazing, she will be in the USA for 7 weeks with 2 kids and did the flight with only 3 bags. Plus she was under wait on 2 of them. She was allowed 20 Kg per bag and she was at 20 for her bag and 12 for Morgan and 9 for Molly. I must admit that I did not think she could get it in the bags but she did it and I am really impresses. I miss her already and can not wait till I see her in 5.5 weeks.

Just to keep things interesting....

Morgan came down with a severe sore throat today accompanied by a fever. She was fine first thing this morning. Just as we were getting ready to go to a much anticipated play date, she got sick. Her fever spikes, she complained of sore throat and was just not herself. I immediately cancelled the play date and called the doctor's office. They couldn't get her in until 2 pm. I gave her some ibuprofen and she tried to get some rest. Around noon her fever spiked to 102. I gave her some Tylenol and that didn't help. We all loaded up and went to the doctor's.

She has an acute throat infection. We are now armed with medicine and a doctor's note. She is already feeling much better after her first dose of medicine and a little ice cream (at the doctors recommendation.) Assuming she is doing even better in the morning, we will board the plane as planned. Wish us luck!!!!
