Children's Christmas Party

We took the girls to a Christmas party held at the Seoul Club on Saturday.  It turned out to be a really nice time and the girls had a lot of fun!  They decorated ginger bread men, wrote post cards to Santa, took pictures with Santa, decorated a poinsettia pot, had lunch, watched a musician and more.  Here are some pics from the party!

makes it look like her gingerbread man was hit in the face with a snowball.

Molly was fine until I got up and set her down next to Santa.
She wanted nothing to do with that!  But was happy to take the goody bag from him
after the pictures were taken.

Molly was proud of her flower pot too!

Funny things happen....

when you let your toddler play with your car keys.  Molly had mine yesterday when all of a sudden it sounded like my car was running in the garage.  I looked out and sure enough it had started.  Who knew that my little car had remote start?!?!?  Not me!  And do you think I could get it to work on this very frigid day?? Nope!  I would just look at the manual, but whadayaknow....its in Korean.  I'm sure if I just give the keys back to Molls she'll have it figured out in no time.

But seriously, remote start...on my little car?!?!?

Good Morning?!?!

I walked Morgan to the bus stop in the dark this morning.  When we first stepped outside she said, "Mom, we're too early.  Everyone is still sleeping."  Too cute!  It turns out we were right on time, but the days are definitely getting shorter here.

It's amazing...

that you can look at your children day after day and not notice the changes in them.  But all of a sudden, you look at them one day and you think "wow!  you've gotten so big!"  I can't get over how tall Morgan has become.  She is losing her "baby" face and just looks so grown up.  Molly is no longer a baby (although she'll always be my baby).  She is definitely a toddler now.  So tall and such a little person.  I hate to think that when our time here is up, she will be more like her big sis than my little Molly.

Daddy Daughter What??

Yesterday, I attended a meeting to help coordinate the Daddy Daughter Dance at school.  Silly me to think that this would be a small little function held in the school gym.  I can remember going to the Daddy Daughter Square Dance in the school gym when I was little.  But noooooo!!!!!  This is a dance held in the same ballroom where Mark and I were for the St. Andrew's Ball complete with a "Hollywood" theme.  I was speechless.  The dance is for the elementary school girls only.  They won't know the difference.

I did raise my concerns about this to the others at the meeting.  Apparently there is a large turnout for the dance and the school can't support such a big event.  They don't have enough volunteers and by the time you pay someone to come into the school to make it work, the cost is about even.  OK!  Makes a little sense to me.

So now I'm on the decorating committee as well as shopping committee.  I get to pick out and purchase decorations as well as stuff for the "goodie bags".  The dance is in March, so look for the pics then.

More pictures...

Here are a couple of pictures of Morgan.  She made a snowman ornament for a contest at school.  The winner receives a sweatshirt from the school spirit shop.  We found this cute idea online using a lightbulb.  I think it was cute and Morgan was really proud of it.  She did the whole thing by herself.  All ornaments had to be submitted on Monday.  They will be hung on the Christmas tree outside of the school auditorium where all of the music concerts will be performed this month.

Morgan's Last Ballet Class

Morgan had her final ballet class this week.  The parents were able to sit in and watch their little ballerinas.  It was fun to see what they've been learning since none of the girls wanted to share this with their parents over the past several weeks.  Enjoy the video of our little ballerina!
